VOGUING ELEMENTS WORKSHOP FOR BEGINNERS
Voguing is the dance of the so-called “Ballroom Culture”. It was created in Harlem, New York by and for POCs and LGBTQ+ people to give themselves a voice in a heteronormative society and to express themselves creatively and freely. In the Voguing Elements workshop, the basic building blocks, the 5 elements of voguing, are taught. From them, small combinations will be created and elaborated. The goal of the workshop is to be able to confidently execute the movements learned and to be able to independently and creatively develop movements or dance in so-called freestyle.
“Voguing is a culture, a lifestyle, a feeling – not just a dance.”
