This class is a open to all dancers from different dance backgrounds and dance experiences. The focus is geared towards the dancers, to gain more body awareness by isolating their own individual range of
movement. Learning how to move your body in Robot Form to Isolated Flow to the disconnection of Discombobulation. Approaching each technique with understanding, energy and form.
Movement of one part of the body independently of the rest. This means that you isolate one part of your body, which moves, while the rest of your body remains completely still.
Each day will be a different approach towards Isolations of the body. Through different genres of dance from Hip Hop to Experimental to Modern Jazz, dancers will understand the range of motion of their body through Isolation Flows. The Isolation Series will target techniques from Robot Form (pauses & stops) all the way to Discombobulation (complex disconnected flow). This will help dancers gain more muscle control, spatial equity and precision of their movements.

Warm-Up for blood circulation & breathing followed by high tempo warm-up and core exercises to build muscle strength. Isolation exercises given to dancers to perform to understand their own body placement and range of movement. From the previous exercises, dancers will be taught choreography to incorporate what was learned during the class. Cool down/ stretch will follow to elongate and relax the body.
