Urban Belly Fusion – Isolations technique
The Isolations class is a TECHNICAL class.
That means we will learn different techniques ( mainly Tribal Fusion Belly dance and waving ), but also other tools to find qualities of movement in the body.
This class is meant for mainly bellydancers who aim to develop their isolation techniques. But also open to anybody willing to work technically on isolations and layering, to create new possibilities, find new qualities and integrate it in their own way of moving.
The class will start with a warm up and a physical preparation according the topic of the class. We will spend some time practicing the isolations ( moving a specific part of the body independently from the rest ), starting with the basics ( hips, chest, belly, arms …) and spreading it to all the body. Later on we will be able to do it with more than one part of the body : that is called Layering. It’s a work that ask body but also brain training, and take some time to achieve : you can do it, patience and regular practice are the keys !
We will use improvisation games and exploration to apply those techniques to our own style and way of moving, and practice it through little combos.
The class is open to everybody willing to try, whatever your style / level. All styles welcome ! Beginners welcome ! You don’t have to know, we’ll find out together !
If you’re more experimented with this type of work, I will give you some layers that will keep the class challenging.
