Dancehall Vs. Soca with Iree covers in motion*s both female Dancehall and Dancehall steps, but also equally happy Soca Energy.
Dancehall is a street dance from Jamaica that is danced in certain steps to the associated music genre “Dancehall” in a community space, for example, a party.
Soca, mainly from Trinidad and Tobago, on the other hand, follows few rules as it is mainly used as music to celebrate the Caribbean Carnival and is therefore an expression of joie de vivre and freedom.
In addition to the pure teaching of steps and movements, it is important that the background and context of the styles are conveyed and an insight into the diversity of the Caribbean succeeds.
