The class “Ballroom & Runway 101” will be about the ballroom scene. The ballroom scene is an underground scene from New York, founded by Black and Latinx transwomen and queers in New York. This culture has been growing for decades and has now spread to all continents. Together with the participants I would like to get a deeper insight into the history, culture and characteristics of this scene. We will focus on the categories “European Runway” and “All American Runway” – two different runway styles that are all about walk, attitude and poses. Heels are welcome but not a must. BIPOC and queers are especially invited to attend, but the class is open to all.
