This physically focussed course doesn’t only strengthen the whole body but also the coordination of energy, speed and inner calmness in order to bring acrobatic elements into urban contemporary dance without a lot of effort.
Christoph will show you some tricks supporting you but he focusses on the feeling of a motion as he believes that every body has another understanding of movement.
In the beginning of the class you will explore your own body in relation to the space and to the floor. Floorwork is an important part within the first 30 minutes. Afterwards Christoph will teach you acrobatic elements that are part of the following choreography. In the last 10 minutes you will enjoy a good stretching so that everybody leaves the class without any injuries and a good body feeling.
Christoph has already experienced a lot of moving ways in his life – gymnastics, aerial acrobatic, martial arts, partnering, ballet or hip hop. He likes to go into different styles in order to bring them together in contemporary dance. His biggest inspiration is the nature as there you can find so many opportunities if you just take a proper look.
The aim of the class is an improvement of body tension and joy in exploring your own progress.
If the class description above doesn't say otherwise, all of our classes are open drop in classes. That means you don't need to register for this class in advance.
