Born and raised in Berlin, Marlene was introduced to dance at the age of seven. She started her dance education in Ballet and Streetdance at Atrium Berlin. In her teenage years she focused mainly on urban dance styles and was soon working as a background dancer for various artists, music videos, tv shows and stage productions. Since 2006 she trained in contemporary dance and graduated in 2012 from the academy of contemporary dance in Berlin. The last years she trained at Pineapple Studios and Studio68 in London and educated herself at Sydney Dance Company. Marlene performed her own dance pieces and productions at Berlin Festival 2012, 2013 and 2014 and was winner of the Berlin Festival Art Prize for Contemporary Dance in 2012 and 2013. Meanwhile she also made her way back into the Urban Dancescene and combines her experience, passion and knowledge of different dance styles in her work as a choreographer and director.
