Georgina aka Mother Leo Melody started her dance career with a contemporary dance education at the Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg (Netherlands). She graduated in 2008 with a bachelor in Performing Arts. Georgina was the first German dancer to introduce Waacking and Voguing into her vocabulary and successfully showcased her skills as the winner of the German tv show Dancestar 2008 and semi-finalist of Got to Dance in 2012.
Since 2009 she has successfully worked as a dancer and choreographer for artist like Madcon, Frieda Gold, Nina Kraviz, Zebra Katz and Jan Delay, as well as companies such as Lenor, Eis.de, Telecom, Audie and Nike.
Leo Melody teaches Waacking and Voguing Workshops throughout Germany and internationally, for example at the Tanzhaus NRW, HZT Berlin, motion*s Tanz,- und Bewegungsstudio Berlin, Schauspielhaus Frankfurt, Soho House Berlin, Queer Lisboa and Beijing Sonic Music Festival.
Mother Leo Melody, pioneer of Voguing in Germany
She is the founder of the House of Melody, the first German voguing House, as well as Berlin Voguing Out, an organisation that focuses on Voguing in Germany. They organize and host events for the voguing scene including the Berlin Voguing Out Festival and numerous dance workshops.
