Christel Bouchon

Christel completed her dance theater education at the Tanzwerkstatt (School for Dance, Design and Theater) in Konstanz with a focus on modern dance, jazz dance, improvisation and acting, before going on to train at the Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco.

Christel was a dancer for the US band, Castles in Spain, on tour through San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. She also taught in France (Bordeaux) in the studio KIBOWIE (Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern Dance) and was a dancer in the company “Hip Hop melting pot” in Stuttgart (direction: Marilena Grafakos); “Temple of Movement” in Stuttgart (direction: Silvie Männel); and “Noir Désir” in Bordeaux (direction: Paule Martiale and Térence Nguema). Whilst in Stuttgart, she founded her own company, Chaos, with which she toured Germany during the STB gala. She also led the dance teacher training and education program at the Bartholomä Academy (Jazz, Hip Hop, MTV Moves).

From 2002-2013 Christel lived in Hamburg. She taught jazz and choreography classes to the 3rd year students (focus on dance) at the Stage School Hamburg for 10 years as well as her “Freakadelic Jazz” class at the On Stage training center. In May 2007, she taught at the National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts in Beijing, China, as part of an artistic exchange project.

Christel is the founder and choreographer of the dance art company One Blast. She also performs solo duo performances with Argentine professional tango couple Verónika Villarroel and Marcelo Sori (Tango Chocolate, Hamburg) and collaborates on many art projects with a variety of artists in various fields including painting, photography and film.
