Amanda is a Berlin-based professional dance artist, educator and choreographer from Toronto, Canada. She grew up in a Competitive studio environment and has had the privilege of training with and assisting numerous renowned choreographers, locally and internationally. Her performance and choreographic experience includes live stage production, site specific work, commercial work, and TV/Film. She has studied Ohad Naharin’s Batsheva repertoire and Gaga technique in Tel Aviv and New York City, methods from the Movement Invention Project in New York City, Ichi Go’s Elektro Kagura Improvisation Training in Berlin, and has worked on projects in Cairo as an assistant choreographer to Hani Abaza for Egyptian icon, Sherihan. She has also collaborated with poet Rupi Kaur as her movement coach and choreographer and has self-produced multiple short dance films.

Amanda has extensive experience educating and choreographing within the Competitive Dance sector in North America for premier studios such as: Art & Soul Dance Company (Kleinburg, Ontario), Elite Danceworx (Markham, Ontario), Performing Dance Arts (Vaughan, Ontario), Dance Connection (Scottsdale, Arizona), and Club Dance (Mesa, Arizona). She has also enjoyed adjudicating for multiple Dance Competitions such as View Dance Challenge, Be Dance, Fever International Dance Championships, and On The Floor. In addition, she is a certified yoga instructor (RYT-250; Yoga Alliance Certified) with over 1000 teaching hours for institutions such as Equinox Fitness Clubs and Yoga Tree Studios. She has a love for academia and research, holding an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ryerson University.
