Most of you already know that the federal government has decided that leisure activities such as sports and dance will have to take a break in November 2020. We have already prepared everything over the last few days to be able to offer you dance lessons seamlessly.
Here you can find the online timetable with which we will start on Monday, November 2nd 2020. Also, some interesting facts and answers to questions some of you may have. Please read this information carefully in the coming days before you contact us with any questions.
Of course we think it’s a shame that we won’t see each other in the studio for at least a month.
We hope to open soon, but we are also prepared for it, in case there have to be online classes for a longer period of time.

ONLINE CLASSES STARTING Monday Nov 2nd
You can book any online class you want to take in our class calendar. Before booking for the first time, you have to register once and be logged in each time you book a course. Please book no later than 1 hour before the course so that you receive the link to the online class in good time. 1 hour before the start of the course, the system sends a link with which you can take part in the online course. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the mail or search for email@example.com. You can also add our email address to your contacts to ensure that you always receive our emails.
Due to corona contact tracking, we recently had to expand our mandatory fields in the course calendar. This means that we not only need your full name but also your address and telephone number so that we can follow up the contacts promptly in the event of a positive Covid report. So if you can’t book a class now, it may be because the mandatory fields in your account have to be filled out first. Then the booking works again.
Urban Sports Club members cannot book through their Urban Sports Club app during the november lockdown.
We are truly sorry for this but that is a decision made by Urban Sports Club. We ourselves see no reason for that. If you wish to join our online classes they must be booked and paid for separately via the class calendar. You cannot book in the course calendar and then check in / pay with USC.
We would suggest you buy a “5er Tanzkarte” or “10er Tanzkarte” that will give you 5 or 10 credits to book classes in our class calender at the cheapest rate outside of contract memberships.

we use the Zoom program to stream our online courses. You can also take part in the class via the browser without installing the Zoom program. However, it is more convenient to install the program. Zoom is available for both desktop computers and as an app.
Before joining a meeting, you will be asked to provide a username. Please enter your full first and last name here, as booked in the class calendar. This is important, because only people who have booked are allowed in the Zoom Meeting. So the whole checkin process is much quicker if everyone puts in their full name.
People who have a contract can book with their contract credits as usual. For all drop ins and trial lessons there is no longer any option to choose cash payment. From now on you can only book by SEPA direct debit or credit card. PayPal is not yet available.
If you have a 5er or 10 ticket already at home then use the product “gültige Tanzkarte” to book the class. We ask people with a valid dance card (10/5er ticket) to show it to the counter via zoom at the beginning of the class and then to cross a square in front of the camera. Alternatively, your cards will remain valid until we can reopen the studio.
You can now also buy a digital 5 or 10 card. This gives you 5 or 10 credits when booking. To do this, select the product: “5er Tanzkarte” / “10er Tanzkarte” during the booking process “Show all products”.
morning classes starting before 1:30 pm
you may cancel up to 12h before the start time and canellation is free of charge up to 18h before the start of the class.
afternoon & evening classes from 1:31 pm
you may cancel up to 3h before class starts and cancellation is free of charge up to 9h before the start of the class.
Payments already made will be refunded and class credits within your contracts will be credited.
Cancellations made later than 9hours / 18 hours before are excluded from refund and will be invoiced by us or, in the case of contracts, counted as course participation.
Frequently answered questions & trouble shooting
Why aren’t all classes online?
There are many reasons why we cannot display all 70 courses online. First of all, it is up to the teachers to decide whether they want to teach online classes or whether they consider it useful. Some dance and movement courses can be taught relatively well on the screen, for others, such as contemporary floorwork, it is much more difficult to enable quality teaching. In any case please ask your teachers if you are in contact if you are missing their class.
Somehow I get stuck in the booking process
Have you selected a class and the “Buchen” button is not clickable? There can be two reasons for this.
1. You are not logged in. Log in or create an account.
2. Due to contact tracking, we recently had to expand our mandatory fields in the course calendar. This means that we not only need your full name but also your address and telephone number so that we can follow up the contacts promptly in the event of a positive Covid report. So if you can’t book a course now, it could be because the mandatory fields in your account have to be filled out first. Then the booking works again.
3. Sometimes technology doesn’t work as it should. Please be patient if the tips above did not help and try again a few hours later.
The class is not displayed as an online class
There are still a few minor bugs in Fitogram. It seems it takes a while for our changes to appear in the class calendar. All classes that you can see and book in the class calender from Nov 2nd on will be online.
Somehow I can’t get into the Zoom meeting
Did you provide your full name before joining? Our counter team only lets in people whose names are on the booking list. In addition, technical malfunctions can always occur. Both Zoom and our course calendar as well as our internet lines have to withstand a payload these days that is higher than at other times. Unfortunately, we cannot solve all technical problems. Please have a little patience and understanding if everything does not work 100% at all times.
Sometimes zoom asks you you provide a password. Actually the password is encrypted in the link that is sent out. Try it again to open the meeting with your zoom app. If it still asks for a passwort then call the people at the front desk to provide you with that password: 030 69004201
