Mbegne Kasse alias B-Boy Ben-J, ist seit seiner Kindheit im Senegal vom Hip-Hop-Tanz fasziniert und begann circa 2000 diesen urbanen Stil zu trainieren. Einige Jahre war er schon Mitglied der Crew „Break Med“ in Medina, ab 2005 in der Crew „Crazy Elements“. Trotz des Weggangs einiger Mitglieder der neuen Crew, setzte Crazy Elements seinen Weg fort und führt regelmäßig zu der Show „Petersen“ unter der Leitung von Ben-J. Er nahm an vielen Tanz-Battles teil, sowohl solo als auch in Gruppen, in Dakar und Umgebung.
Mit der Crazy Elements Crew gewann er den „National Battle – Hip Hop Dance“ (Juni 2007), gesponsert von Didier Awadi (PBS Radikal), Thomas Hergenröther (Battle of the Year) und Ali Diallo (Ouaga Hip Hop) – ebenfalls Mitglieder.
Jury – Organisiert von der Kaay Fecc Association. In diesem Zusammenhang wurde Ben-J nach einer Anhörung für die Red Bull BC ONE ausgewählt, die am 22. September 2007 in Johannesburg in Südafrika stattfand. Er repräsentierte die Gemeinschaft der senegalesischen B-Boys und Senegals in einem der größten Internationalen Break Dance Battles , Kategorie 1 gegen 1.
2008 tourte er mit den besten B-Boys der Welt durch Australien und besuchte Paris, wo sie den Film „Turn it Loose“ drehten, eine Dokumentation über Bboying, die die Vorbereitung des BC One 2007 dokumentiert. In einem Teil des Films wird auch Ben-J portraitiert.
Seit 2008 unterrichtete er Kinder im Hip Hop im „Empire des Enfants“ (Anta Mbow).
Viele weitere Battles folgten ,wo er entweder teilnahm oder auch in der Jury saß. Außerdem unterrichtet er African Dance, House und Afro House in unzähligen Workshops.
